Band

The story of Beyond Verge began in snowy and dark New Year's eve 2006. The thought turned into action in the begin of the year 2007, when Jesse Hannonen sat behind the drums, Joona Hannonen played the quitar and Atte Iivonen had just placed to be as vocalist/quitarist. At the time the band had no bass player or even any thought about the band´s name.

Within the next few months band began to compose and practise songs and eventually recorded a few at Jesse´s ”studio”, located at the attic of his house. After the recordings band found a bassist and the name of the band was discovered. There´s no greater meaning behind the name, it just felt right and sounded good. Although the pronouncing is a little bit doubtful.

After the quick beginning problems started to occur. Personal issues, severe health problems, departure of bassist etc. Despite the drummer's work amongst the pr, band was pretty quiet for over six months. Even at the beginning of the dark autumn, the future of the band did´t look any brighter. Drummer and vocalist had several discussions how to revive the band.

In the spring of 2008 things began to work out. Members of the band gathered, wrote new songs and began to record their first official demo. Things seemed bright again.

Although the ”new beginning” was fast, recording of the demo took way too long. Not that the band had any schedule or something like that. Six songs were recorded and four of them were chosen to the disc. After nine months and countless nights of ”hard” work, demo "1st Attempt" was ready. Right after recordings were finished, new bassist was found: Jon Inkinen filled the missing puzzle.
